Jamie Brewer says she’s a Math wiz, and she got a scholarship from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln to major in the subject to prove it.
“I am not just good with numbers,” said Brewer. “I absolutely love facts, figures, analytics, and making numbers work. Accounting is simply the perfect combination of organization and Math for me.”

I grew up riding horses, competing in 4-H and Young Maverick’s Rodeos. In fact, I received 7th place at State in Barrel Racing for 4-H in 2003.
I was born on pi day 3/14.
I am recently married with 2 boys and
2 step-daughters.

Brewer joined Bland & Associates in 2010 and was promoted to Manager of the Tax Department in 2014, Director in 2017 and Partner in 2020. She specializes in medical, small business taxation, primarily in the construction, real estate, retail, restaurant, farming, and service industries. Her specialties also include multi-state compliance, sales taxation, payroll taxation and specialty services such as Employee Retention Credits. In her new role as Partner, Brewer is taking the lead on Bland & Associates’ state and local taxation practice. She will also focus on staff management, providing client solutions, and managing workloads during tax season.
Brewer says her career focus is on building strong relationships, maintaining quick response times, and delivering great services. Her dedication is both to the external clients she serves and her peers.
“I pride myself on the firm and its success,” she said. “Internally, I enjoy mentoring younger associates and seeing them reach their full potential.”
Brewer attributes her spot-on career choice to her “awesome, high school Accounting teacher” in her hometown of Beatrice, NE, and her love of Math. She is a Certified Public Accountant and earned a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2007. Prior to joining Bland, she served as a Staff Accountant at Florell & Barnard, P.C. in Lincoln, 2004-2010.
