Retirement Announcement for Troy McKinney, CPA, CAP

After an illustrious and impactful career spanning over 25 years, Troy McKinney, CPA, CAP, has announced his retirement from Bland & Associates. Troy will be heading to Florida, where he plans to dedicate more time to his favorite hobbies: boating, fishing, golfing, pickleball, and reading.

Troy’s journey in accounting has been marked by his commitment to excellence and his dedication to clients and colleagues alike. His career began with Bland in 1998, and after a brief tenure in the private sector, he returned in 2006 to take on the role of chairing the tax department. As a partner since 2008, Troy’s strategic insight and guidance have been instrumental in the firm’s success, particularly in advising businesses and high-net-worth families on their tax and financial needs.

Troy’s passion for service extended beyond his professional life. A man of deep conviction and community spirit, he has been an active volunteer at St. Andrews Catholic Church, and has generously devoted his time to disaster relief, various children’s causes, and dog rescue organizations. His work in these areas reflects the same level of care and dedication that he brought to his clients and team at Bland & Associates.

In reflecting on his career, Troy shared that he will deeply miss the many wonderful relationships he has built with associates, clients, industry peers, and referral partners. “I have always given my best effort to ensure that our clients and team know they are in the best hands and will be taken care of to the fullest,” Troy said.
