A New Chapter in a Galaxy Not So Far Away…

Jeremy Vokt has announced he will retire as Managing Partner of Bland & Associates, P.C. in the second half of 2026. For nearly two decades at Bland, and throughout his career, Jeremy has been more than a numbers guy—he’s been a trusted partner, advisor, and guide for countless clients.

Born and raised in Council Bluffs, Jeremy joined Bland in 2006 and quickly built a reputation for delivering financial clarity in plain English and he’s done just that with care, wisdom, and integrity. His ability to connect with clients as people, not just as businesses, has made him a true leader at Bland and beyond.

Jeremy’s career path started with the encouragement of his high school business teacher, leading him to the University of Northern Iowa where he earned his B.S. in Accounting in 1998. Over the years, he has provided outstanding service, professional advice, and unparalleled financial direction—earning the admiration of both colleagues and clients alike.

Even as he transitions from day-to-day leadership, Jeremy will continue to shape the future of Bland & Associates as a member of the Board of Directors, offering strategic guidance and ensuring that Bland’s legacy of excellence continues.

On a personal note, Jeremy is looking forward to more time with his wife, Renee, visits to see their three boys in college, and (of course) plenty of rounds on the golf course. For those who know Jeremy, it won’t be surprising if the occasional Star Wars reference finds its way onto the scorecard—because even in retirement, the Force is strong.

As Jeremy steps into this next adventure, we are pleased to share that Jason Tonjes will assume the role of Managing Partner, once again. With over 25 years of leadership at Bland, Jason brings deep experience and a bold vision to help companies move Beyond Accounting—through technology, better data, stronger processes, and increased capacity. His Nebraska roots, strong work ethic, and proven leadership will guide Bland and our clients into an exciting new future.

Please join us in congratulating Jeremy on a remarkable career and a well-earned retirement, and in welcoming Jason into this “new” role.

May the course be with you, Jeremy.
