PJ Predoehl, CPAAfter working in long-term care for 15 years, Philip Jon (PJ) Predoehl switched gears and decided to pursue a career in accounting and auditing. He cites his experience in long-term care as the reason for his interest in accounting. “I chose accounting to better understand the financial aspects of the health and social service industries I spent the first 15 years of my career working in,” PJ said. “Accounting is an important window into understanding any business.” |

PJ also attributes his success in the auditing field to his extensive experience with health and social service regulations which enabled him to develop a deep understanding of these regulatory environments.
Since joining Bland & Associates in 2014, PJ has performed monitoring and compliance services for government entities, primarily contracting for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) with an emphasis on ensuring participant compliance for alternative payment models. In his current role as Director of Monitoring and Compliance in the Government Consulting department, he provides direction and oversight for multiple government contract teams. His personal service philosophy is founded on helping others find the “why” behind rules and regulations. “Good service is helping people fix problems,” said PJ. “Great service is helping people understand the solutions.” |
