Mary Sassen, Manager
Government Consulting
| Mary Sassen joined Bland & Associates in 2018, serving as a manager in the Government Consulting department, and leading audits involving the Comprehensive Primary Care Plus model (CPC+). In this role, she oversees the audit team, designs protocols, and works to identify vulnerabilities to design risk mitigation strategies.
She is an experienced health care professional with a strong background in the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Innovations (CMMI) Advanced Alternative Payment Model electronic clinical quality measures (eCQM) auditing. Sassen has extensive experience leading projects, developing policies and procedures, mentoring, and training team members and managing quality assurance processes. Prior to joining Bland, she developed and managed utilization and case management programs for commercial insurance lines. Her clinical nursing experience is in critical care. Sassen is a Registered Nurse and graduate of Nebraska Methodist Nursing School’s diploma program, a Certified Medical Case Manager and Health Insurance Associate. She has over 1,000 hours of nursing continuing education and has completed college course work toward her bachelor’s degree in nursing and secondary English education. |
