| Growing up in Mapleton, Iowa, Heidi McMahon, CPA was inspired when she visited an accountant with her dad.
“When I was in the fourth grade I went with my Dad to get their taxes prepared,” she said. “I thought it was cool that the lady preparing the documents could use the 10-key so quickly.” Thinking that all CPAs drive nice cars sealed the deal. “When I was young all the CPAs that I knew drove nice cars. I wanted a nice car to drive,” she said. McMahon joined Bland & Associates in 2015 and has been named a Manager in the firm’s Governmental Consulting department. She specializes in the inspection of financial instruments to ensure that the documentation meets or exceeds the client’s requirements. Moving forward, she says her goals are to continue to streamline processes to best meet client needs and, as always, to provide exceptional service. Heidi earned an Associate Degree in Arts and Sciences from Western Iowa Tech Community College in 1996. She went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Health and Human Performance in 1997 and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting in 2000, both from Iowa State University. |
