|Growing up in Mitchell, South Dakota, Alan Oleson said his childhood dream was to be a professional football player. But seeing his dad as an accountant and office manager made the profession seem like a natural fit.
“Plus, it made my dad happy that I followed in his footsteps,” continued Oleson.
In 2017, Oleson joined Bland & Associates to serve as the company’s Controller. In this role, he processes and oversees the accounting, internal controls, and financial reporting of the company.
Prior to joining Bland, Oleson served as the Assistant Director of Accounting and Assistant Treasurer at HDR, Inc. (1995-2016).
Oleson earned a B.S. in Accounting from the University of South Dakota in 1985 and he is a Certified Public Accountant. He is also a member of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) and the Nebraska Society of Certified Public Accountants (NESCPA).
